Nothing Headphone (1) Pro Launched: Price, Specs, Features and Battery Life

Nothing Headphone (1) Pro: Nothing has expanded its premium audio lineup with the launch of the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro, a flagship over-ear wireless headset designed to compete with established models such as Apple’s AirPods Max and Sony’s WH-1000X series.

The new headphones focus on high-resolution sound, improved noise cancellation, long battery life and a premium build, while keeping the price below several competing flagship models.

Triple-Driver Audio System

One of the biggest highlights is the three-driver configuration inside each earcup. Nothing combines a 40mm dynamic driver for lower frequencies with a precision dynamic driver designed to handle vocals and mid-range sounds.

A third xMEMS solid-state driver with a silicone diaphragm handles the higher frequencies, creating a dedicated setup for different parts of the audio spectrum.

Up to 46dB Adaptive Noise Cancellation

The Headphone (1) Pro features adaptive Active Noise Cancellation capable of reducing external noise by up to 46dB.

Nothing uses a total of 10 microphones, combining feed-forward and feedback microphones on both sides of the headset to monitor surrounding sounds and adjust the cancellation accordingly.

Hi-Res Audio and Multiple Codecs

The headphones carry Hi-Res Audio certification and support high-resolution playback at up to 24-bit/96kHz wirelessly and up to 24-bit/192kHz when connected via cable.

Supported codecs include SBC, AAC, LDAC and LC3, with LC3 also supporting broadcast audio applications.

Nothing has also added Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking. Users can choose from different sound profiles, including Standard, Live House, Club and Concert Hall. The spatial audio modes were developed with input from Metropolis Studios.

Battery Life

Battery performance is another major feature of the Headphone (1) Pro.

The headset can deliver up to 30 hours of playback with ANC enabled. Turning ANC off increases the claimed battery life to as much as 68 hours when using AAC.

A quick five-minute charge can provide approximately four hours of playback with ANC disabled.

Premium Build and Connectivity

Nothing has used materials such as aluminium, titanium and scratch-resistant glass in the construction. The company says the new model also offers a wider and more comfortable fit compared with its earlier Headphone (1).

The headphones carry an IP52 rating for protection against dust and water.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 6.1, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual-device connectivity, wear detection and a low-latency mode.

Price and Competition

The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro is priced at $399 in the US, with a UK price of around £349. This places it below Apple’s AirPods Max while still targeting the premium wireless headphone segment.

Compared with the AirPods Max, Nothing is offering a lower entry price along with a claimed 30-hour ANC battery life and support for multiple Bluetooth codecs.

Apple’s headphones, however, offer tighter integration with Apple devices and services. Nothing’s approach is more platform-neutral, with features such as Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and broader codec support.

Against Sony’s WH-1000XM5 and XM6, Nothing is putting more emphasis on its triple-driver hardware and spatial-audio features, while Sony’s headphones are known for their own noise-cancellation technology and software ecosystem.

Nothing Headphone (1) Pro: India Availability

Nothing has announced the global launch of the Headphone (1) Pro, but India-specific pricing and availability details have not yet been announced by Nothing India.

Once local pricing is revealed, the Headphone (1) Pro will be easier to compare with Apple’s AirPods Max, Sony’s WH-1000X lineup and other premium headphones available in the Indian market.
