The Kissing Scene Incident
Priya clarified that she has never had issues with kissing scenes when the story demands them. However, this particular incident was different. She explained:
“Early in my career, I was reading a film’s script. Even during the reading, I had doubts about the kissing scene, and I kept asking the director why it was necessary. I wasn’t bothered by the kissing scene itself, but I was worried about how he would justify it in the film, as it didn’t fit.”
The problem arose when her co-star repeatedly took retakes of the kissing scene:
“There were many times when the actor took retakes and kept kissing me. I don’t know why I couldn’t take a stand at that time. Perhaps it was because I didn’t know how to deal with it.”
The experience left her terrified and deeply shaken.
Unwanted Messages After Filming
The behavior didn’t stop on set. Priya revealed that the co-star continued pursuing her after filming:
“I had no choice. We were staying in separate rooms at a hotel. But he kept messaging me, asking me to meet him. He’d say, ‘Let me teach you swimming, can I meet you for breakfast?'”
Her response was firm:
“I’m not interested. This has never happened to me in my life, and it should never happen again.”
