Born on 31 March 1993 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Saransh Jain’s journey to the Indian cricket team is a story of perseverance, sacrifice, and an unshakable family dream. He made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh during the 2014–15 Ranji Trophy season, beginning a domestic career that would eventually earn him a long-awaited national call-up.
Cricket was more than just a sport in the Jain household—it was a legacy. His father, Subodh Jain, represented Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy and once dreamed of wearing the Indian jersey himself. Although that dream remained unrealized, he dedicated himself to ensuring his sons had the opportunity to achieve what he could not.
One of the toughest moments in Saransh’s life came early in his career. While he was touring Australia with a Madhya Pradesh club team, his father was diagnosed with cancer and underwent major surgery. Determined not to distract his son, the family kept the diagnosis from him until he returned home.
After the surgery, Subodh struggled to speak. Instead of giving a speech, he wrote a heartfelt note asking Saransh to stay committed to his cricket and never lose sight of his goal. How Has Saransh Jain Performed in Domestic Cricket?
Saransh Jain has built his reputation the hard way—through years of consistent performances in India’s demanding domestic circuit. Rather than making headlines overnight, the Madhya Pradesh all-rounder earned recognition season after season by delivering with both bat and ball when his team needed him most.
His breakthrough came during Madhya Pradesh’s historic 2021–22 Ranji Trophy triumph. Jain played a pivotal role in the knockout stages, claiming 13 wickets across the quarter-final, semi-final, and final. In the title clash against Mumbai, he also produced a vital 57-run knock, helping Madhya Pradesh lift their maiden Ranji Trophy crown.
Instead of slowing down after that success, Jain raised his game even further in the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy. He scored 360 runs and picked up 35 wickets, establishing himself as one of the competition’s premier all-rounders. His outstanding season earned him the prestigious Lala Amarnath Award for the tournament’s best all-rounder and secured him a place in the India A squad against the England Lions in 2024, where he impressed by scoring half-centuries in both innings.
The strongest statement of his career came in 2025. Representing Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy, Jain dominated the tournament, taking 16 wickets in just two matches and scoring crucial half-centuries in both the semi-final and final. His match-winning performances helped Central Zone lift the title and earned him the Player of the Series award.

Jain amassed 518 runs at an average of 57.55 while claiming 30 wickets at an average of 20.43, proving he had evolved into a complete all-rounder capable of changing games with either discipline.
